Art Is Power Vol. I — Dressed to Reign – Four Guys Artist Edition Boxy Tee
Original artwork by Antionette Simmons Hodges. Designed for collectors, art lovers, and those who believe art belongs beyond the gallery wall.
About the Artwork
"Dressed to Reign – Four Guys" began with an old photograph. A friend shared a picture of his brother and three buddies — what Antionette and her college friends called "block boys," guys from D.C. with a dress style all their own, unlike the men on campus from New York, Chicago, or Detroit. The image stuck with her for years. Eventually it became this painting: four Black men in their finest — fedoras, sharp suits, quiet confidence — rendered in expressive brushwork against a vivid blue background. This is Black dandyism as fine art. Brotherhood as portraiture. Style as power.

About This Design
Four Guys Tee Black dandyism has always been a form of resistance — the deliberate, joyful insistence on being immaculate when the world expected otherwise. This painting by Antionette Simmons Hodges captures four Black men dressed to the absolute nines: fedora hats, sharp suits, the kind of confidence that fills a room before you say a word. Dressed to Reign isn't just a phrase on a shirt. It's an inheritance. It's Saturday morning getting dressed with your father. It's the uncles at the cookout. It's the particular dignity of Black men who decided, generations ago, that how they showed up mattered — and passed that down.

DTG-printed garments need a little extra care to keep the artwork looking sharp for years.
- Wash inside out — always
- Cold water only — warm and hot water fade DTG prints
- Gentle or delicate cycle
- No bleach or fabric softener — both degrade the ink
- Tumble dry low, or hang to dry for best results
- Do not iron directly on the print
- Do not dry clean
Treated well, your print will hold its depth and detail wash after wash.
