With a professional painting career spanning over three decades, Antionette draws inspiration from her experience as a retired DC elementary art teacher and her deep roots in the African American community. Her mixed media and continuous line techniques bring to life themes of family, jazz, rural traditions, and joyful everyday moments. Through bold color, expressive forms, and a warm, inclusive spirit, Antionette’s art uplifts and amplifies underrepresented voices—inviting every viewer to experience the richness and resilience of Black artistry.
