What Size Goes Where?
a little guidance goes a long wayLiving Room
Best: 18×24" or 24×30"
Above a sofa, aim for a piece that's about ⅔ the width of the sofa. A 24×30" makes a commanding focal point. For a gallery wall, mix 8×10" and 11×14" prints around a central 16×20".
Bedroom
Best: 16×20" or 18×24"
Above the headboard, a 16×20" or 18×24" creates a calming, centered look. Hang the bottom of the frame 6–8" above the headboard. Two matching 11×14" prints flanking the bed also work beautifully.
Dining Room
Best: 16×20" or 24×30"
A single large piece on the main wall sets the tone for the whole room. The 24×30" is ideal for open-plan dining spaces. For a smaller dining nook, an 18×24" feels perfectly intimate.
Hallway / Entryway
Best: 11×14" or 16×20"
Narrow walls call for portrait-orientation prints. An 11×14" creates a welcoming first impression without overwhelming the space. For a longer hallway, a series of 8×10" prints creates a beautiful, personal gallery effect.
Home Office
Best: 8×10" or 11×14"
Inspiration close at hand. An 8×10" on your desk or an 11×14" on the wall behind your monitor keeps the energy and intention of the art in your daily line of sight.
Bathroom / Powder Room
Best: 8×10" or 11×14"
Smaller spaces deserve beauty too. An 8×10" print adds unexpected elegance to a powder room. Choose paper prints for bathrooms with good ventilation; avoid canvas in high-humidity spaces.

Hanging Tips
Hang It Like a Pro
little details, big differenceEye-Level Rule
Hang art so the center of the piece is at eye level — roughly 57–60" from the floor. This is the standard used in galleries worldwide.
Above Furniture
Leave 6–10 inches between the top of furniture (sofa, headboard, console) and the bottom of the frame. Too much gap feels disconnected.
Gallery Wall Spacing
Keep 2–4 inches between frames in a gallery wall arrangement. Consistent spacing creates order; the art itself brings the variety.
Avoid Direct Sunlight
UV rays fade even archival prints over time. Choose a wall away from direct sun, or use UV-protective glass. Your art will stay vibrant for decades.
Use Two Hooks
Two small hooks or nails keep frames level and prevent tilting. For heavier canvas wraps, use proper wall anchors if you're not hitting a stud.
Paper Template Trick
Cut a piece of paper to the exact size of your print. Tape it to the wall and live with the placement for a day before committing to a nail.
