Summer's here, and we want to celebrate it with you. From June 25 through July 9, we're giving away two canvas totes — winner's choice, any design in the shop. No purchase necessary. Here's everything you need to know.
How to enter
Entering is simple: visit artbyashodges.com, and a popup will appear with a short signup form. Just enter your name and email address — that's it. No purchase required, no extra steps.
Two winners will be selected at random and announced on July 9th. Entry is open to legal residents of the continental United States, 18 years or older. One entry per person.
Already on our mailing list? No problem — sign up again through the popup during the entry window (June 25 – July 9) to make sure you're counted as an entrant for this giveaway specifically.

Both winners get to choose any canvas tote from our shop — but if you need a little inspiration, here are a few fan favorites:

Whichever design speaks to you, every canvas tote in our shop is made the same way: 100% cotton canvas, flat-bottomed construction, reinforced stitching, and original artwork by Antionette Simmons Hodges — not just a print slapped on a bag, but a real painting carried out into the world.
Why we're doing this
Antionette has spent over 35 years making art that's rooted in culture, history, and Black life — and for the past several years, her son Jason has helped turn that art into something people can actually live with: on their walls, on their shelves, and now, over their shoulders. This giveaway is just our way of saying thank you for being part of that, and inviting a few new people in along the way.
Summer is short. We figure the least we can do is help two people spend a little more of it carrying something they love.
