"Mirror Mirror" is the Black women identity art print that holds you in a long, uncommon silence—three elongated figures by Antionette Simmons Hodges, standing side by side in the kind of stillness that carries weight. Their faces, concealed behind metallic ancestral masks, gaze outward not with absence but with authority, asking you to consider what it means to be seen and what it means to look back.
Hodges created this mixed-media collage work as an exploration of Black womanhood across the diaspora—identity that is multiple, layered, and ancient all at once. The figures are built from patterned fabric collage, their bodies assembled from textiles that carry their own histories: geometric prints, woven designs, the visual language of African craft traditions. Against this richness, the metallic silver masks serve as a kind of bridge between the personal and the ancestral—faces that are both individual and collective, contemporary and deeply rooted.

Prints that are 8×10 inches or smaller are shipped flat in sturdy cardboard stay-flat envelopes. Larger prints are carefully rolled and packaged in kraft mailing tubes to ensure safe delivery. Every order includes a tracking number.
Framed fine art prints are carefully packed using protective corner guards and wrapped securely to prevent damage in transit. We use a spidering method to suspend the frame within the box, ensuring it stays centered and protected. Production time is 3–4 business days.
Stretched canvas prints are made to order and carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery, shipped in a protective box via FedEx or USPS. Orders typically ship within 3–4 business days.
