By Jason Hodges — creative director of Inkwell Fine Art Prints. Original Black Christmas designs, made for our community.
Hand-marked pattern, wrapped around every gift.
Mudcloth is inspired by bògòlanfini, the hand-dyed mud-painted cloth of Mali. This paper carries that spirit: six bands of marks — zigzags, dots, crosses, triangles and diamonds — drawn slightly imperfect, like they were painted by hand, in cream, gold, red and green on deep charcoal black.
About the design
- Six one-inch bands repeat down the sheet, so every cut shows a little of each
- Red, black and green for Kwanzaa, with cream and gold to keep it modern and calm
- The quietest of our Kwanzaa papers — it works for birthdays, housewarmings and Juneteenth too
- Sheet size: 30" × 72" (2.5 ft × 6 ft — about 15 square feet)
- Paper: 90gsm fine-art wrapping paper, one-sided print
- Finish: choose matte or glossy
- Printed to order. Colors may vary slightly between screen and print.
- A narrow white production edge with a small barcode may appear at one end of the sheet — trim it off or fold it under.
